In a few days, one of America’s most beloved holidays will be celebrated.
I’m not talking about Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter or even the 4th of July – I’m talking about Halloween.
For those that are awake, the veracity in which this day has morphed into a nation’s favorite pastime, is a testament to the growing Darkness that befalls the earth.
It is impossible to channel-surf on the TV and not be assaulted with zombies, demons and a whole host of evil that has been conjured up in the minds of our deranged entertainment industry. It has become a “holiday,” a holy day from Latin, on par with our most celebrated and solemn events.
However, this article isn’t about the mounting evil that permeates almost every aspect of our society: It is about a single Truth that the enemy does not want you to understand.
Here is the Devil’s predicament in a nutshell:
When he convinced a third of the angels in heaven to rebel, two-thirds of the heavenly host stood with God.
Ah oh, that means that The Father of Lies is outnumbered two to one. For a Being that wants to become ruler of everything, that’s not a good start.
So the Devil needed a strategy that would overcome his numbers problem.
For the moment, forget the fact that there is no way he can win over God. After all, he too is a created creature, much smaller and weaker than the Creator Himself.
But Satan has an insatiable, super, hyper-inflated, ego. When that ego is combined with an unimaginable hate toward Yahweh – it’s easy to see how he will do anything to try to win, no matter how crazy it sounds.
That includes using smoke and mirrors.
Think about it – if you’re not God and can’t create anything, but you needed to increase your troop strength, you’d have to try to use what you can. In other words, you would have to try to manipulate, corrupt, DNA to make other killer beings and try to unravel God’s plan.
We see in the Book of Revelation some of the beings that the enemy intends on using on “That day”: Locusts that aren’t locusts, scorpions that aren’t scorpions and a whole lot more slight of hand.
All of these beings have been manufactured to add to the Devil’s numbers, while at the same time deceiving mankind into thinking that evil is more powerful than our God.
Nonetheless, these creatures, although significant within the confines of our own 3D world, are no match for the Truth that Satan would hope you NEVER discover.
In Luke 11:14-20 we see Jesus, Emmanuel, God Incarnate, driving out demons from the people. As He did so, people were healed and delivered. However, the religious leaders of the day had a real problem with this display. Their problem was that the manifested miracles of the Son of God had begun to eat away at the power they had over the Israelites.
Knowing their thoughts, and their motivations, Yeshua chastised them and made this very profound statement in verse 20:
“But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the Kingdom of God has come upon you.”
The enemy has sought to increase his authority and advantage by developing, not creating, entities to add to his numbers. But at the same time, he seeks to make you think that he is more powerful than God, and more powerful than you.
The Truth that I mentioned earlier is that the God of the Universe has placed His life, His power and His spark in each of us. That fire is called – The Holy Spirit and He is more than a match for the Devil.
The enemy knows that if the Church, The Remnant, The Bride of Christ, ever really understood the dormant power that lies within her, every evil scheme, trick and lie that he has tried to bind the world with, would be exposed for what it was – smoke and mirrors.
Of course evil is real and dangerous. It’s not my intent to relegate the supernatural battle to simple illusion. Rather, my goal is to help you understand that as time grows short, the Devil grows more desperate – Because sooner or later, you are going to find out who you are.
This Halloween brings a Darkness like the world has never seen. We see coldness in people’s hearts and lives, one-time Believers turning from the Faith, standing Christians being persecuted all around the globe and evil rising like never before.
Yet, the power that raised Christ from the dead (Rom 8:11) lives inside the Christian… dormant, waiting for you and I to discover who we really are – and take back what the enemy has stolen.
It has been an eye-opening week as Steve Quayle and I have done a recent radio show in which we discussed “The Thinning Veil”. The Holy Spirit showed me a few things that I never put together until now.
Perhaps the most significant of those Holy Spirit inspired revelations came out in my preparation for the show:
The 3D world that we live and breathe in is changing forever. The division between the supernatural and our natural world, The Veil if you will, has been torn. As a consequence, this year’s Halloween evil is the tip of the iceberg to what’s ahead for all of us who live on Planet Earth.
As that evil descends all around us, I’d like to share the following stories that should give you courage.
A family member had been in deep intercessory prayer. In a session of fasting and praying, she told me that she was suddenly swept into the throne-room of God – There before her was Jesus sitting on His throne. She said that the power of God was so strong she couldn’t even raise her face to look at Him.
All she could do was look down at His feet. In doing so, she noticed that the scars from where He was nailed to the Cross were not on His feet proper. They were actually on the top of His ankles, where His shin met His foot.
(I mention this detail because, unsolicited, another intercessor friend told me two weeks later of her throne-room experience. She didn’t know my family member, yet she too said she noticed that Jesus’ scares were on the top of His ankles. I’d never heard this detail before, but both women’s accounts collaborated one another.)
The family member continued her story. After telling her how much He loved her, Jesus asked, “Do you know how powerful I really am?”
She said she did. But apparently Jesus saw her doubts.
His arm was on the throne’s armrest and in a minuscule show of His omnipotent power, He said, “I’m this powerful…” and He barely moved His little pinky.
Instantly, the family member was thrown back to her front room where she’d been praying. The experience left her in awe and solidified her relationship with the one true God.
As interesting as this story was, the Holy Spirit reminded me of my own experience that was not nearly as dramatic, but just as profound:
One day in the late 1980’s, I was standing in front of my house with a tree trimmer.
Two old, sturdy, pine trees were hit by lightning the day before in a storm. The trees were still tall, green and strong-looking despite being zapped.
The tree guy said that they’d have to come out. I protested and told him that they were fine and that I didn’t want them cut down.
He looked at me like I was crazy. He said, “You don’t understand. The molecular structure of those trees has been changed! They’re gonna die!”
Upon that description by a simple tree trimmer, I distinctly heard the Holy Spirit say to my heart, “And that big lightning bolt was just a flick of my pinky.”
Jesus said in Luke, “But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.”
Paul wrote in Romans that the power of God that raised Christ from the dead lives in us!
What am I trying to say?
If you know Jesus and walk with Him in an obedient relationship, giving up your rights and your life to Him, then the dormant power that lives inside you and me is… Unimaginable.
The Bible tells us that at the End of the Age, Darkness would fall upon the earth. Things are happening that we would rather not see happen.
All the while, the enemy wants to keep you ignorant about the supernatural effect that you, the Believer, can have on soon coming events.
After all, he’s used his smoke and mirrors all of this time to make you think that he is stronger than the Holy Spirit that lives in you.
It is a lie.
Don’t fall for it!
Greater is He in you, than he who is in the world…
