I’m just plain Fed Up with the pressure by the homosexual PC lobby, which includes heterosexuals, pummeling anyone who states their biblical opinion that homosexuality is a sin!
In December the debate rose to a screeching pitch with the Duck Dynasty/Phil Robertson interview in GQ Magazine. GLAD and a host of other homosexual lobbing groups hammered the A&E network to do something to reign in their star. We know that Mr. Robertson was briefly suspended. However, following a huge supportive outcry from fans, he was reinstated before we saw the new year in.
Now I just read where Sherri Shepherd, co-host of The View, actually apologized for calling homosexuality a sin! What?!!!
Homosexuality is a sin! At least that’s what my Bible says:
“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals…” 1 Cor 6:9
Such a statement is not “homophobic” or “hateful” or “mean-spirited”! It’s the truth! Deal with it!
Even so-called popular “pastors” like Joel Olsten feel the need to placate the homosexual PC crowd. Recently when asked by Larry King what he thought of homosexuality, he told Mr. King, “I’d rather not talk about that.”
What?! You’re a pastor for crying out loud! Are you not supposed to stand up for God’s Word or has your salt lost it’s savor?
When pressed, King asked, “But homosexual marriage really annoys you, doesn’t it?”
Olsten responded, “I’m not annoyed by homosexual marriage!”
Not annoyed? I bet God is annoyed!
That is not to say that we as a Church, supposedly founded on biblical principles, are “annoyed” by homosexuals. Rather, we SHOULD BE annoyed at the rampant sin, to include homosexuality, that has gripped our nation and a people that chose to thumb their nose at God and His precepts.
I have known gay people throughout my life and career and called some of them friends. I have never berated them for their lifestyle choice. If asked my opinion of homosexuality I would give my honest biblically based opinion. But I still loved them! They are still people requiring mutual respect. There was never an issue of my being mean-spirited because of my biblical belief.
However, somehow our pop-culture society has turned a corner. To tell someone the truth is now equivalent to being homophobic. This PC mentality has spread to every part of our populace. Now the nation we grew up in freely calls those things that are evil – good, and whatever is good – evil.
Don’t believe me?
Just last week, celebrity gossip disher Kathy Griffin accepted an award at some entertainment industry show. In her comments, although I did not personally watch the show, she made some very ugly comments about Jesus. And the audience applauded her!
What?!
If she would have made the same comments about Mohammed or some other religious icon, she would have been booed and drummed out of the ceremony. Yet, because she spoke disparagingly about our Savior, she’s a hero?
At the same time, Christians are being persecuted all around the world. They are being tortured and killed, by the hand of Muslims for the most part, and yet these same bleeding-heart liberals remain gleefully silent! Talk about mean-spirited. Where is the outrage?
You say that you’re going to live your life on your own terms and that you don’t buy the argument that homosexuality is a sin because you don’t believe in the Bible? I get it really. Most of us that try to walk by God’s ordinances felt the same way. We might not have been homosexual, but we certainly wanted to do what we wanted to do, free of judgment and consequences. But you should still be outraged.
Why?
Because the last time I checked, the First Amendment to the Constitution is free speech! And although liberals cannot change the law, they intend to brow-beat the populace to shut up about their lifestyle. That means that little things like free-speech must fall by the wayside.
But I for one am FED UP with the PC crowd! Homosexuality is a sin! You cannot look at it as a simple “lifestyle choice”! It’s not natural – end of story. (Biology 101)
There are consequences to our choices, good and bad. That verse talks about those consequences.
I don’t hate gays and lesbians. God loves them just as much as the Christian because WE ARE ALL SINNERS. I also don’t go around stoning homosexuals or treating them ill. So I wish they would just SHUT UP about it already!
You have the right to live your unnatural lifestyle. But I also I have the right to truthfully refer to the Bible’s tenet that it is a sin!
Seriously… I’m FED Up!
